Useful Tips for Cooking
over the Grill or Smoker
Welcome to this section to offer various tips for outdoor cooking. These tips are proven and will increase your effectiveness over the hot coals which we love to toil! Read on and now you are improving with each time you cook outdoors!

While each tip can mostly stand alone, it is best to read them all and incorporate them into an overall assault on the grill. Be sure to have your assault well fortified with your favorite beverage! Today's tip is:
Extended Cooking

Are you cooking over long periods of time? Want to keep things going while
you go take a nice long nap? We have just the solution! As for the coals
that are still burning, move them to one side - - - all by themselves.
Next, . . . . and you may want some gloves for this . . . . . . arrange
"new" charcoal (not already burning) in a row leading away from the
existing burning coals. As time goes on, the old coals will light the new
charcoal and you will have created a "controlled burning fuse", so to
speak. The fire will slowly burn down the chain of new charcoal and never
get too hot all at once . . . . . . . . . go ahead and enjoy that nap!
