Mop [or basting] sauces are used primarily to 1.) keep the meet moist throughout the cooking process and 2.) add flavor to the meat. This mop sauce is no different in technique, but we hope it adds a unique flavor to your meats. This is a great "mop" to use on beef.
Place your hands on the following ingredients:
1 cup of your favorite beer
4 Tbs cooking oil (light olive oil is great)
4 Tbs apple cider vinegar
2 Tbs Worcestershire sauce
1 1/2 tsp hot mustard
1 tsp fresh ground black pepper
1/2 tsp hot pepper sauce
Mix all ingredients thoroughly in a plastic, stainless steel or glass bowl and baste meat every 10 to 20 minutes as needed. It helps keep the meat moist while adding some really great flavors.
