Sweet 'n Sour Pork Chops
Do you enjoy your pork chops with a little flare? Then this "oriental leaning" seasoning will set your chops apart from the mundane. It is both simple and easy to prepare.
1/4 cup honey
1/4 cup light brown sugar
1 lime, juiced
1 Tbs olive oil
1 tsp red pepper flakes
8 1/2-inch thick pork chops
Preheat your grill to medium-high heat.
In a plastic resealable bag, mix together the sugar, honey, oil, lime juice, and red pepper flakes. Note: The bag should be sufficient in size to include all 8 pork chops. Next, add the chops and allow them to marinate for at least 20 minutes up to 2 hours.
Remove the chops from the marinade and then lightly brush the grill grates with additional cooking oil. Place your chops on the grill and cook about 3 minutes on each side. Remove from grill to a serving platter and serve. Warning: We have used honey and sugar in this recipe. Be aware that the sugars in them will easily burn!
