Spiced Jalapeno Burgers
Comments:
Burgers are the universal meal and there are just about a billion ways to prepare them. This one is a little spicy so adjust the jalapeno to your liking! Invite some friends over and have a grand meal tonight!
Let's begin by gathering the following ingredients:
1 1/4 cups fresh soft bread crumbs
1 1/2 lbs lean ground beef
1/2 cup finely chopped onion
2 slices bacon - diced
1 Tbs Worcestershire sauce
1 egg
1/2 tsp salt
1/2 tsp fresh ground black pepper
2 tsp vegetable oil
Jalapeno's...
4 hamburger buns, split and toasted
First, we would want to combine the ground beef, onion, bacon, Worcestershire sauce, bread crumbs, egg, salt, and pepper.
Ok...for the jalapeno's. This is such a personal thing. If you really love the heat and flavor, you can slice them and place on top of the burger under any cheese, should you decide to add cheese. If you really like 'em then dice them, the amount you desire, and add them to the meat before you form them into paddies. If you like them "sort of", then dice them, the amount you desire, and add them to the meat before you form them into paddies - keep in mind that cooking makes strong flavors more mild. If you don't like the heat or flavor at all, awww shucks, forget 'em!
Using your hands, mix the ingredients until blended and shape into 4 to 6 burgers. Grill the burgers for 7 to 10 minutes on each side, or until cooked to desired doneness. Serve on toasted buns with your favorite condiments.
Serves 4 to 6.
Enjoy!
