Simple Pulled Pork

Pulled pork (from a Boston Butt or Pork Shoulder) has to be one of the absolutely best items to ever come off a barbecue pit. This recipe will make you a backyard hero!
First, collect the following ingredients:
4-5 pound pork butt
1/4 cup chile powder
1 tsp crushed red pepper flakes
2 Tbs fresh ground black pepper
1 Tbs packed brown sugar
1 tsp thyme, dried
1/2 tsp cinnamon
yellow mustard
Combine all the ingredients in a glass or plastic bowl and mix thoroughly. First, rub a light coat of the yellow mustard onto the meat. Next rub the dry ingredients onto the meat thoroughly. Cover meat and refrigerate for 2 to 8 hours. Cook butt at 225° to 230° in indirect heat until the internal temperature reaches 180° to 185° internal temperature. Baste occasionally with your favorite basting sauce.
