Open Sesame Butter Baste

"Open sesame," were the magical words used by Ali Baba to open the treasure cave in The Thousand and One Nights. This recipe will open your palates to new and exciting flavors as well! Enjoy!

First, collect the following ingredients:

    1 Stick of butter - 8 ounces
    2 Tbs toasted sesame seeds
    2 cloves garlic, minced
    2 scallions, whole, chopped
    2 Tbs Soy Sauce
    1 tsp freshly ground black pepper
    1/2 tsp cinnamon

Melt honey in a non-reactive bowl. Add the sesame seeds, garlic and scallions and simmer 3-4 minutes. Add soy and pepper and simmer 2-3 more minutes. Cool and use. Store remaining in air tight jar in the refrigerator. Enjoy!
