Broiled Meatballs
Comments:
These meatballs are great broiled or on the grill and are very easy to make. We suggest reading The Artful Hamburger for a discussion on ground meat. Enjoy!

To the ground meat (1 lb. lean) add:
1 T. Worcestershire sauce
1 t. each onion powder and garlic powder
1/2 t. salt, ground bay and ground thyme
1 cup bread crumbs
1 egg
Mix seasonings into bread crumbs, mix bread crumbs into meat, beat egg and
mix evenly into meat. Roll firmly into uniform meatballs about 1" in
diameter, spear on skewers and chill.
Prepare the grill for broiling (500-700 degrees). Wait until the grates are
properly heated before putting the meat on. Do not try to turn until the
meat releases from the grill. Take it off as soon as it reaches 145
degrees, if you have ground your own, or 160 if you bought ground meat.
