If you're tired of the same old burgers and have been dreaming of a trip to Hawaii, then maybe this is a great way to get in the mood. These burgers are wonderful on or off the islands.
First, collect the following ingredients:
1 lb of ground round beef - Angus is better beef
1/2 lb pork sausage - medium to hot
1 medium onion - chopped fine
4 medium cloves garlic - minced
2 Tbs hot pepper sauce
1 Tbs lime juice
2 tbs soy sauce
1 tbs Worcestershire sauce
1/2 tsp cayenne pepper
Slices of pineapple
Combine all the ingredients in a stainless steel bowl (except the pineapple slices) and refrigerate for several hours. This will allow all the ingredients to meld together. Form your paddies as the grill heats. Cook until done in the center - about 150°. Add the pineapple slices and serve on onion toasted buns. Be sure to assault the burgers with your favorite condiments.
