Jalapeno Shrimp
Comments:
This is a great appetizer to get your party off to a hopping hot start. Choose your peppers wisely as they will determine how "hot" your party will be! Enjoy!
This appetizer may be made several hours ahead of time to give you time to get ready for the other items.
1 1/2 lbs large peeled shrimp
8 oz sharp cheddar cheese
3-4 fresh Jalapeno - seeded, cut in thin strips
1 Tbs parsley
1 tsp garlic powder
1 teaspoon Old Bay Seasoning
1 1/2 pounds thick cut bacon
Peal, wash and cut slit in shrimp and insert strip of Jalapeno pepper and cheddar cheese inside each shrimp.
Sprinkle with garlic powder and Old Bay Seasoning. Wrap each shrimp with a slice of bacon and secure with a toothpick. Thread shrimp onto double skewers to make it easy to "flip" and cook the other side.
When ready to get underway, heat the pit to 350°.
Grill over medium high heat for 10 to 15 minutes, or until firm. Do not get heat too hot or the bacon will burn before the shrimp are cooked.
Enjoy!
