One of our nation's favorite meat is poultry. And because poultry is so good for us, occasionally we have to jazz it up a bit and have some fun. This honey glaze is just right for this sinful delight. Great on legs, wings and thighs, it will light your fire!
Let's get started... Begin by collecting the following:
1 1/2 pounds of chicken
3 Tbs of honey
3 Tbs Dijon mustard
2 tsp fresh ground black pepper
1 tsp lemon juice
1 tsp hot sauce
1 tbs salt
To make the sauce, simply combine all ingredients, except the chicken, in a sauce pan and heat on low. This melds the flavors and makes the honey more pliable. When the chicken is completely cooked, move to a cooler side of the grill and add the honey glaze. Allow the meat to cook at the cooler temperatures for about 10 minutes. Remove and serve. Please note that this is a finishing sauce meaning that it is place on the poultry just before taking it off the grill. If cooked directly over the heat, it will burn. Enjoy!
