Bacon Wrapped Jalapeño Poppers
Comment:
Jalapeño poppers are tasty items made from jalapeño peppers which have been hollowed out, stuffed with such items as cheese, spices, and sometimes even ground meat, and then usually battered and deep fried. As for frying, many folks are now cooking them out on their grill for healthier eating.
24 fresh jalapeno peppers
14-16 ounces cream cheese
1-2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
1 package of bacon
These are so easy to prepare. First fry up some of the bacon where it is then crispy.
Next, cut stems off of peppers and hollow them out with a jalapeño corer. Remove all the seeds as that is where most of the heat resides.
Now fill each pepper with some of the cream cheese, a slice of cheddar cheese and some of the crumbled bacon. If you have a Chili Grill, then place them in the Chili Grill and cook in your smoker or grill until hot and bubbly. If you don't have a Chili Grill then fashion some aluminum foil so the pepper is vertical. You don't want all that good stuff spilling out!
Cook in 450° for 10 to 15 minutes or until all is bubbly and hot. Remove and serve when cooled. Enjoy!
