FAQ Subject: Turkey breast with a rotisserie spear Turkey Breast with a Rotisserie spear
Any advice on how to impale a bone in turkey breast with a rotisserie spear? What can I use in a pinch to help attach the parts of the bird that seem to droop?
Thanks! You are a God!
Gordon, in Louisville.
Hi Gordon,
Thanks, but if I were a God I would make it a sin for merchants to sell a rotisserie to folk without completely explaining that it only complicates a simple event and that meat cooks just as well and as quickly sitting still and quiet on the grill.
Try to balance the bird and bring the two prongs from each end into as much meat as possible. Bind the loose parts with butcher's twine or cotton string.
Luck,
Smoky
