FAQ Subject: Is Arizona walnut wood safe to use?
Master Smokey,
I came across some Arizona walnut. Is it safe to use this wood to smoke my meat? if so, what type of meat would work best for this wood?
Thanks!
Don
Hi Don,
I would not recommend walnut. Many folk are allergic to its resins, dust and smoke. The sawdust cannot be used in animal stalls or in flower beds. Makes good carving wood, 'tho'.
Luck,
Smoky
