Topic: Wood Pellet Grills . . . . From: Tom,
Subject: Re: Traeger Gills

I am looking for information on using wood pellet grills. I presently use a propane grill but want something more, but nobody seems to be able to help me. What are the pros and cons of using a wood pellet grill? Any info would be appreciated.

Tom Parker

Hi Tom,

One company that makes wood pellet grills is Traeger Industries and you can dial direct to  1-800-872-3437  1-800-872-3437 . I'm sure that they can fully descrive any advantages.

Some of my concerns would be:

1. The price and availability of the fuel.
2. The initial cost of an automatic fueling system.
3. The maintenance and replacement cost of same.
4. The lack of flexibility in choices of fuel.

Personally, I cook with wood and charcoal and, therefore, have a tremendous of choices considering price/availability of fuel, flavoring woods, low tech./low maintenance.

In the final analysis, only you can make the right choice for you. I recommend that you look at all that's available, talk to friends and family, decide what your needs are and go for it.

E me again when you have more data.

Luck,
Smoky
